This weekend, I’ll be attending the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival!
I had no idea it was this weekend until a few days ago. I found out about the actual dates of the festival when I went on to their Facebook page. Of course, they had the event date plastered on their page. I completely forgot about it in 2014, and by the time I’d remembered, months had past. I wanted to attend in 2013; however, I had prior commitments.
So even though I knew, after viewing their Facebook page, it did leave me in a bit of a quandary. Why? Saturday is usually the day that my BF and meet and do something with my daughter. Later that day, when I talked to him, he asked me if I wanted to attend the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival! I hadn’t told him about the event. Ok… now I’m impressed. He told me he had seen a sign advertising the event, on his way home from work. It’s being held at the Howard County fairgrounds, which is about five minutes away from his home. It’s over an hour from where my daughter and me live.
I will say that I’m thrilled that he wants to share in my love of fiber arts. The poor man, he has no idea what he has talked himself into. The good news is, that my daughter will be there so even if he does not say, “Opal are you ready to leave?” My daughter will definitely whine, “Mom, can we go now?” Sighs…. kids! 😉
